Getting set up

How do I connect B2B Price Tiers to Linnworks?

Paste your 32-character Linnworks install token into Settings. The token is validated on save — if it isn't valid, nothing is stored. Then click Sync Linnworks to import your catalogue. Full steps are in Getting Started.

What does syncing import?

Every SKU in your Linnworks catalogue, along with each item's Linnworks cost (purchase price) and RRP (retail price). Re-sync any time your catalogue changes to pull in new SKUs and updated costs/RRPs.

How often should I re-sync?

Whenever you add SKUs or change costs or RRPs in Linnworks. Re-syncing keeps your catalogue, costs and RRPs current so your pricing rules calculate from the right figures.

Tiers and pricing

What are the default tiers?

Four, from lowest price to highest: Enterprise (lowest), Trade, Wholesale and RRP. You can rename, recolour, add or delete tiers freely in Settings — see Customers & Tiers.

How do pricing rules work?

Each tier has a rule with three parts: a base price (Linnworks Cost, Linnworks Retail or another tier's price), an operation (add/subtract %, add/subtract fixed £, multiply, or none) and attractive rounding (.99/.95/.49/.50/.00, up/down/nearest). Rules auto-save. Click Apply All Rules to compute and write prices for every SKU. Details in Pricing Rules.

Can one tier be based on another?

Yes. A rule's base price can be another tier — for example Wholesale = Trade − 10%. When you Apply All Rules, the engine computes each tier-relative rule after its dependency, so the maths resolves in the right order.

If I edit a price by hand, will a rule overwrite it?

Manual edits in the Price Grid (and prices brought in by CSV) win until you re-apply rules. If you run Apply All Rules on a tier that has a rule, the rule recomputes and replaces your manual edits for that tier. Tiers without a rule keep their manual values.

What's the difference between bulk maths and pricing rules?

Bulk maths is a one-off adjustment to the rows you've selected — it isn't remembered. Pricing Rules are persistent formulas that recompute every time you Apply All Rules. Use bulk maths for ad-hoc tweaks and rules for your standing strategy. See Price Grid & Bulk Maths.

CSV

What does the CSV export contain?

One sheet with columns: SKU, Name, LW Trade Price, LW Retail Price, <tier names…> — that is, the SKU, its name, the Linnworks Trade and Retail prices, then one column per tier.

What happens to blank cells and unknown columns on import?

Columns match tiers by name, case-insensitively. Empty cells leave existing prices intact (they're skipped, not wiped). Unknown columns are ignored, and unknown SKUs are skipped — so sync first to make sure all your SKUs are present. Import always shows a preview before writing. See CSV Import & Export.

Push to Linnworks

What does "Push to Linnworks" do?

It writes each chosen tier back to Linnworks as an Extended Property named PRICE_TIER_<NAME> on every stock item, so Linnworks holds your tier prices natively. See Push to Linnworks.

Do I have to push for Trade Order POS to get the prices?

No. Trade Order POS reads prices directly from B2B Price Tiers via the integration. Pushing is for getting your tier prices into Linnworks itself (and any tool that reads Extended Properties).

Trade Order POS

How does the Trade Order POS integration work?

In B2B Price Tiers go to Settings → Trade Order POS integration and copy the connection URL — it contains your private key (https://b2b-prices.mcp-g.com?key=…). Paste that whole URL into Trade Order POS Settings → B2B Price Tiers. (A bare address without the key won't connect.) When a member of staff selects a customer, POS fetches that customer's tier prices and applies them to the cart automatically. Full setup is in Trade Order POS Integration.

What decides which price a customer gets?

The tier you assign each customer on the Customers screen. Trade Order POS reads that assignment to pick the customer's prices.

Plan and billing

How much does B2B Price Tiers cost?

A single plan at £29/month with everything included. There's a 14-day free trial and you can cancel any time.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — a 14-day free trial with full access to every feature. Start at b2b-prices.mcp-g.com.

Is B2B Price Tiers affiliated with Linnworks?

No. B2B Price Tiers is an independent product of MCP-G (a Green & Home Ltd company). It uses the Linnworks API under the developer agreement and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a reseller of Linnworks Ltd.
